Strabismus

Strabismus is similar to Amblyopia, and is commonly known as cross-eye. This condition can occur in adults due to weakening eye muscles, or as early as birth in infants. It is characterized when the eyes do not align properly, and is evaluated based on the frequency of its occurrence.

Strabismus can be treated with glasses containing prisms. Prisms bend light rays as they pass through the glass and have varied strength due to the severity of your strabismus. Surgery is another option available to help correct the eye muscles.
