Low Vision

Low vision is the permanent loss of eyesight. It cannot be corrected with glasses, contact lenses, or surgery and can make everyday activities such as reading, writing, driving or recognizing faces very difficult. Low vision can affect your central vision, peripheral vision—or both—and is most commonly caused by macular degeneration, glaucoma, diabetes or stroke.
